With the purpose of creating an image that wasn't so generic and unremarkable, our task was to develop a cohesive and memorable visual identity that aligned with the brand's values and told a story in a clear and whimsical way.
Inspired by their emotional bond to nature, the idea was to bring focus to the small details in it (such as tiny animals and plants) that one can only notice when looking down with intention. And so, the colors and designs feel like an extension of the natural world.
Design Insights
The logo is inspired by the charm that an old, cozy cabin in the woods would have—conveying feelings of warmth, comfort, and security. Although the place is small and hidden away, its presence is a source of light for anyone who stumbles upon it. Similarly, the brand guides people to rediscover something valuable to their identity.
The letter forms resemble worn wooden planks, as if each letter had been made from planks placed on top of each other. Their arrangement is playful and bouncy, making the composition feel natural, adventurous, and unrestrained.
The brand symbol bears resemblance to a dragonfly, which wings and body exhibit iridescence—a magical property that shows shifting, luminous colors depending on how light reflects off a surface. This display of color is often perceived as a symbol of transformation and beauty, representing the discovery of one’s real self and removal of social inhibitions.
The brand's palette is inspired by the natural elements commonly found in the pond ecosystem, the habitat of frogs and dragonflies.
